knocked my router off the table last night and the wifi has packed up - tried a hard reset and set up from scratch but to no avail. Pulled it apart and nothing's obviously loose or come detached so guessing it's a component failure. Don't want to spend a fortune so any pointers?

something like this be more than adequate?

Yes that netgear would do the job.
Top tip, buy a decent name brand, such as Netgear, Linksys, Belkin etc. Try and avoid the random ones like Tenda, as their support / web sites tend to be poo.

I've had a chequered history with Belkin,Netgear and Linksys, due to reliability problems,I've now got a Billion 7300n,had it for a year and it's not skipped a beat.
