Hello everyone!

I'm looking to explore others places and would be willing to travel up to 2hrs from Swindon.

Are there any people happy to show me around their fave places to ride? 😆

Ali

Given you make it to Swinley regularly enough, have you sampled the Downs?

Come up and see me sometime 😉

I guess central scotland is a bit more than two hours from swindon tho I have no idea where swindon is so I guess its way down south 🙂

atlaz - if you can cater for a slow person then that would be fab 😆

TJ - I would love to go to Scotland actually. As for knowing where Swindon is....probably best you don't! (IGMC) 😆

There's always someone to ride with in the Purbecks if you're down this way.

I'm at the Western end of the Beacons, Ammanford. I regularly ride in places like the Upper Swansea valley- Penwyllyt, Fan Girhych, Cribarth etc. Also the Gower. But best of all, Llyn Brianne Area. Perhaps more than 2 hrs from Swindon, but SO worth the effort.

Mynydd Mallean, Doethie, Cwm Rhayadr, Mynydd Bach Trecastle... the list goes on and on

Aleigh - if you want to come to Scotland there is a fairly friendly bunch of us here and I am sure you could find a bit of floor to kip on ( I'll ask mrs TJ) and a guide for a day or two!

Mind you we do tend to spend a lot of time "debating" routes 🙂

Malvern Hills, but I do 'pootle' speed not quick

now that sounds like my kind of ride!

i must point out that I do take my time, i'm not a racing type 😆

tj - i had planned to go to scotland last year but it fell through so will definitley will be making it this year. as for debating routes, i've been on many rides where faffing takes over (not mentioning any names...ay andy!) so debating is nothing really 😆

i actually recon it would take you 2.15 hrs from Swinners, you could wear yourself out on the malverns then i could take you on the flat bits near me (although you might fall asleep)

cotswolds? birdlip and cranham. 1hr from swindon down the A419. me and friends (from this forum) ride odd times as we are shiftworkers/self-employed, as the evenings get longer welcome to join us.

Lexi took me last year. IMHO the best trails near Swindon.

Another vote for Woburn, at a guess only 90 mins from Swindon.
