Hi all, I need some help with my new PC from Overclockers please.

I keep getting this popup when I start it...

...does anyone know what it is?

I have installed the usual stuff on there like Opera browser, Thunderbird, Steam and a few other bits I had on my old PC. The only new thing is I accidentally installed Norton AV on it (forgot to uncheck the box when I was installing the GPU stuff 🙄 ). I've now uninstalled Norton though.

Cheers

Dave

If it's Valve then that'll be related to your Steam installation. Might be worth uninstalling that and trying again.

What Scotroutes said and also it’s quite possible that Overclockers have imaged your PC with whatever Windows version they are currently shipping and not updated their .net installation so it has failed. I would  try what Scot suggests and then be getting on to Overclockers to fix it unless you are comfortable running some PowerShell…

Thanks, I guessed it may have been Steam related, but wanted to make sure.

...and that's a no to Powershell 🤣

Yes nuke steam and re-install it in the first instance...

if its a .net issue, do a full windows update (including checking optional updates where .net updates might be).

And then check windows update a second time to make sure there's nothing obvious outstanding, ie. optional .net updates.

If you are still getting an issue you can update .net manualy, easliy enough, but try the above first.
