Well having a mid life crises 4 years a go and passing my test, I then went on to buy a Triumph Street Scrambler. Covered 12,000 miles on it and loved it, but its a bit of a pain when it comes to touring, not a lot of oommff and you don't half get blown around, on it especially on the motorway.

So a couple of us have been talking about multi day (possible European) touring and I thought that would be a slog on the Scrambler,

SO

I have just bought this thing. No heavier than the Scrambler, but it don't half feel big. Goes like stink though and touring should be a breeze, even at high motorway speed.

Can't wait to get some miles under my belt on it. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁🏍

@msjhes2, how you liking yours?

This wasn't new, it was 15 months old with 341 miles on it !!!

Came with all the luggage , heated seats and guards and its the low ride height model, which I need with 27.5" legs 🙄

Very nice. ENJOY!

I’m a huge fan of modern Triumphs, they’re pretty faultless.

Snap.  Had mine for 18 months.  Pic of Mrs Bloke next to it in the Cairngorms.  Love mine.  Nothing beats new bike day, enjoy!

Carries its weight low though, COG is quite a bit lower than earlier Tigers.  I don't find it big or heavy at all.  You'll very soon get used to it and not notice it at all.

Good choice - I've had two 800 Tigers, wish I'd kept my last one.

Oh,and wait till you feel the difference without that luggage, Triumph boxes weigh more than a small Planet 😉 😀 😀

I have only ridden it with no luggage so far, If I had bought new I think I would have gone for a soft luggage option (Kriega OS or similar), but it came with all that on it, so looks like I'm stuck with it, although you can fit a lot in it.

Off to the North of England and South Scotland in a couple of weeks, so lets see what its like then 🤔

BTW @blokeuptheroad, how do you find that extra top screen deflector, does it make a noticeable difference?

Nice bike. I've been off them for 15 years and today had to resist buying a new Multistrada. I'm a total sucker for an adventure bike.

Barely noticeable tbh. I think the stock screen is fine as is. I'm 5'9". It came as a package with luggage,  pillion pad on top box and tank pad. I wouldn't bother buying one separately.  I'm in Shropshire, if you are anywhere near you are welcome to try it.

Nice bike

I have a Ducati Diavel, a Triumph 1200 Scrambler XE and a 25 year old Speed triple - I can see the attraction of Adventure bikes - having had a GS 1150 ADV and a KTM 950 SM but there is one problem, I hate the endless hours of travelling up and down autobahns, autostrada, motorways to get somewhere interesting.

8 years in CH spoils you for close at hand fun ...
That said, I am off to Ypres in two weeks on the Scrambler - and the ManxGP on the Diavel later this year

Congrats that is Very Nice™️

I love ADV bikes but I’ve really not got use for one at the moment, got my full licence back in June and the furthest I’ve ridden since was back from the test centre - and that was still on my old scooter.

Maybe one day though, my biggest issue is that I like too many bikes and I don’t know which one to buy, I’m hoping that in a couple of years I might be in a position to be swapping and changing used bike every few months for a bit until I settle on something. But for now I’m happy with my little meteor

Nice. I have a scrambler and had a multistrada for the day. I only really use the bike to commute 20mins now and again so want something for longer trips as long trips without fairings are miserable. Looking to buy an Africa Twin or Tenere or something.
