Hello everyone,

I thought this would be the best way of introducing myself rather than just appearing in a thread.

I have been riding bikes for a few years now and have been meaning to join a forum for a while.

Regards

Hello.

Make sure your valves are properly aligned, lawn borders are properly trimmed.

Do you have.....a finely developed palate for coffee; a german estate (car) - preferably audi; a woodturner; niche interests?

If you don't you're still welcome.

You've done it all wrong mate ...you should have come storming in being totally obnoxious pissing everyone one off ..hit rock bottom first..then things can hopefully only get better ..

I'm still working my way up from the deep end 😁

Anyway welcome ..hope you enjoy it ( though enjoy probably isn't the right word ! ).

(Post something up on the bike forum about what and where you ride) .

Welcome aboard. 2 questions....

1. Have you ever assaulted a ner-do-well with a set of Italian made forks?

2. Would you describe this as a ‘pie’?

Too late to edit my earlier post so I'll add - do you have a woodburner?

Hi again,

I can't work it out so will reply to all here and try to work it out,

Thanks Drac, riding is always anovelty when you don't do it enough!

Thanks Dexa, I have a had a quick nose around.

frankconway - valves are never aligned and i stay away from the borders although my bush is always trimmed!

Never anything below DG dark roast, no wood turner or wood burner but I do have a German estat, just not An Underachiving Dentists Investment. Does using ester synthetic oil in my lawnmower count as a niche interest? I also lubricate my spacious VAG in a similar way!

Leffeboy - I think I am the same person as earlier!

bodgy - Hi, sorry no shooters.

Hi shermer 75

Hi Ming, there is a lump under the patio, where the baby robin sits but they may be the badger! I have never riden a bike with Maguras though.

funkmasterp - Hi.

mechanicaldope - See you next tuesday, i'll tell you then!

binners - 1. All my cutlery is made in Taiwan!

2. That is clearly a casserole with a pastry lid!

cougar - already in hyperspace!

tdog - If i have its an accident 'cause I'm new at forums

emsz - Hi

I don't understand this comment.  I didn't come here to troll, I thought it would be nice to join a bike forum and discuss similar interests. I didn't join to have grief from and arguments with total strangers.  I am not a returning former or banned member.

Sort of but not cos I know him. More just that there needs to be a violently opposing view to a supposedly benign / pleasent comment or this isn't STW.

On the other hand:

mechanicaldope – See you next tuesday, i’ll tell you then!

Now I'm worried... Are you just calling me a Copper Nanotube or do I know you?!

A few things to note,

the people marked MODERATORS, have more power than Donald Trump and the bloke in the Kremlin, one mistake ,false accusation, or naughty word and you get a BAN, days weeks or indefinitely.

Never ever apologise for upsetting somebody on here its a virtual world we live in its not real life.

Every so often post something a bit different and not bike related, eg" neighbour has built a fence at bottom of our/his garden".

You may never meet any of us in public, we are like "THE STIG" a  person with no emotions, facial features and who dresses up as power ranger lookalike.

Having semi socialist leanings is a good start, as is a pathological hatred for a certain newspaper.

If you have any physical, mental or emotional problems then this is the place for you, not for being made fun of but for actual help and support.

Finally having an audi working in it, or 40 plus also earns singletrack points.

A few things to note,

... many posts in the Chat forum aren't to be taken particularly seriously.

I'm a sarcastic shithouse who assumes that everyone knows I'm trying to be funny most of the time.  It backfires spectacularly from time to time.

Is that what happened to my other thread?

I removed it.  TBH I didn't see a reason why you couldn't have just carried on replying here.

https://singletrackmag.com/terms-and-conditions/

  • No ‘Paging…’ threads. They only gum up the forum. If a user wants to be contacted their email address will be on their profile page.

What's the story there then?

Things keep randomly changing on the forum. Someone should start a thread about it. ....

I’m a sarcastic shithouse who assumes that everyone knows I’m trying to be funny most of the time. It backfires spectacularly from time to time.

Are you me?

I'm having that sentence for my headstone after an amusing prank goes horribly wrong

It's also useful to comment authorititatively on subjects about which you know absolutely nothing.

Do it often enough 📣 and you might, just might, be regarded as a 'big hitter' 💪

Not necessarily; see threads on donald trump, EU referendum and Corbyn.

If you can find the Ling's Cars thread - read and enjoy; it's a hoot. Maybe Drac or Cougar could direct you to it; it was either one of them or Mark who closed it as it was getting a bit out of hand and had become very personalised between a few people. That one could have run and run.

This internet thing is too subtle for me!

I should have done it with a Robert de Niro taxi driver type picture/ youtube. If i stop posting bollox for long enough i might work out how to do things like that.
