You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I currently use my work laptop, however the security settings mean I cannot download any software etc, I've coped up to now, but am about to buy a smart turbo and so want to access the Tacx software and would like to update the software on my Garmin. The laptop will be used for general web stuff, a bit of music / uploading stuff to iphones, managing photos (on external hard-drive), some word processing by my wife, managing my Garmin and running Tacx software / Zwift / Trainerroad (depending on which I prefer).
What do I actually need for the above and how much do I need to spend (I don't want to spend more than I need to)? Any recommendations will be greatly received, Thanks.
Only demanding thing will be the Zwift/trainer road part of that so check the specs on that
Oh and 1080 is this

Which will give you a fairly rapid laptop there - the bit to note is the number after the i3 - the 8100 means it's the current 8th gen processor which is a big step forward -

Any of these will be over the spec you need really
Trainer road is a lot lower spec requirement as it's just showing graphs etc. Also take a look at sufferfest for all the readings and motivation/plans with again a much lower PC spec needed.
