...never remembers device - so have to dig out phone and open Gmail on there which kind-of defeats the object! 🙂
Oh that will be annoying, especially as the IT police have disabled account synchronisation on work laptops. If ever I have to log-in to a website at work on my personal account, I have to open chrome on my phone to find the password. 😒
I have that issue with PayPal - the remember device thing doesn't work so need a texted code every time
Meanwhile on another thread, someone is screaming "why is it only STW that does this?!"
Anyway. There's an app for that.
Muffinman - which browser? If you login to Chrome does it solve this (I have a company gsuite account so the browser is linked to that and I've not seen this issue)

mmm... I think you are missing the point. That argument really only arises when people say "subscribe to get rid of the ads" - but it doesn't if you don't stay logged in! It also happens on devices that keep you logged in to google for extended periods.

Don't get me started on PP. I don't mind the code if I log in on my laptop. But it also sends a code to my phone, if I'm logging in on my phone. Defeating the object or what ??
I too get the paypal code to my mobile thing.😐

Not really, because if someone else is logging into the app as you, on their phone, they won't get the code that has been sent to your phone number. That's the whole point.
