You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Introducing Rosie, our new rehomed dog. 6 days in she has been brilliant apart from dealing with our open door household (random kids and neighbours come and go). Anyone want to have a guess at what she is or offer advice on how to make her less exuberant greeting people coming to the household (as a big dog it can be a bit scarey for people but she is super friendly)?

Edit: She's a she.

She looks fantastic! Lovely soft eyes.
Have you dressed her up in clothes? Maybe her exuberance towards visitors is her way of asking them to take the clothes off? 🙂
We know her supposed mix ... just thought STW would like the challenge.
She is not normally attired but it has been chucking it down here this morning and our walls don't need replastering with mud.
Hmmm, have a guess at what she is? Is that a trick question?
She's clearly a good girl.
She looks lovely.
She definatly looks lab/Alsatian to me. A great cross for a very loyal loving and intelligent dog.
I agree, head shape very German Sheperdy

Bit cruel just for jumping up.
Maybe try rewarding good behaviour instead.
German shepherd X is correct but missing the other part. I think the colour is a big clue. Thank you for the nice comments.
I think lab/alsation plus bit of collie (ears?). Tempted to find out with a dna test? My parents did with their rescue.
Corgi?
GS/Staffie-X ?
Biddable and loving in the right environment.
Bit of Ridgeback in there?
I think the colour is a big clue.
Blue Heeler
Ridgeback
Mogwai ears
If colour is the giveaway ...
Swiss cow crossed with a hamster?
I recon she's about 75% lovely and 25% i'm going to try and get away with whatever a can.
So a normal dog then. 😀
Some good work there. She is GSD x Ridgeback which is quite a departure from our previous Lab, Collie, other mix.
We seem to have acquired a new weekend dog ..belongs to a niece who has split from her boyfriend and is now using us as a halfway house along with her younger sister and my son's mates as they pursue their ever hectic social calendar ..quite a nice situation really as I wouldn't have the time for a dog of our own ( that's an honest assessment from the point of view of a dog )..as much as I like the thought of having one ..
Anyway ..here is Arnie ..

For the exuberance, total ignorance. Fold your arms, turn your back and ignore her until she sits and waits. Then give attention for the right behaviour.
You need to train the family and visitors too though.
