Im lucky enough to have the option of a new company car. Choices are either the new A3 or the Golf mk7 SE with sat nav. Anyone got any suggestions on which one to go for and why?

Test drive them both and decide for yourself. They are essentially the same car though so just go with the one you like the most when driving it.

Both good choices - just depends on the spec of the two as they are quite similar cars underneath. As a company car I would go with the one with a low emissions...lower tax. Ideally 99g Co2 or less and you are laughing.

Could you live with the Audi image?

Will the A3 have a higher P11D value? Options on them might be differently priced so you could end up paying more for the BIK.

I'm currently deciding between the same two cars and had a sit in both at the weekend. The Audi has by far the 'nicest' interior in so much as you could feel the quality when wangling the gear knob and such like. One thing to bear in mind though, a lot of the stuff that's on the equivilent golf is an extra on the audi and for that reason (and more importantly to be dictated by budget) I'll probably go for the golf, probably the manual 5d 1.4 petrol 122ps SE.

If this is due to a new job then spare your co-workers the pain of having to hear you **** off about how your new company car at Company X has testicle warmers and a heads up display of your testicle warmth in Celsius, Kelvin and Fahrenheit while your serve your notice period.

Lowest P11D & emissions coupled with the highest spec you can get.

That's what drove my decision this time,
