The missus has a new Chromebook and I borrow it as it's quick and easy apart from the only website that screws it being a favourite .... STW! Using chrome I have had no issues browsing all over the web but STW always produces the message "page unresponsive" and stays that way.
If I grab my Android phone all is fine .WTF is going on ?

And more importantly any suggestions re how to fix ?
I must admit ..over the years STW has produced more problems for my devices than whole of the rest of the web !

Does it work incognito mode?

Have you tried doing a powerwash?

Works fine on my Chromebook which is a very new one with all updates installed.

Page unresponsive is a strange error when we know the page is not unresponsive when using a different device. Error be given is page take too long to load or fails to load correctly so is there a setting for load time before giving up? (Doubt their is)

Page unresponsive sounds like a client side issue rather than site issue. I wonder if the chrome book is struggling with processing some of the JavaScript and then becomes unresponsive.

I have the same issue. My Chromebook is superb for every other website but as soon as I come to browse around STW, it craps itself.

I'll follow this with interest to see if there is a solution.

Do you have a very low spec Chromebook?

Rest browser settings to factory? Tried Firefox, IE? Edge? I opted to use Edge now for work and find it far better, now it’s using the chromium engine
