Right
It's time for a new car, and whilst I thought I was going to order a Passat Sport 140, the lease company are doing some very good deals on the Volvo XC60 at the moment.
Question is, has anyone got one? what do you think of them? any good at carrying bikes around? Or should I stick with the Passat?
I am looking at the R design 2wd 2.0d model
Cheers
Gets a big tick from me, fill the boot with stuff like bike gear and throw the bikes on the roof and go play.
Good choice.
Vampires seem to like them.

Vampires?? Does that mean I'll be safe in one?
Depending on the lease company, but several of the bigger ones will put the passat to independent garages for servicing from new but the xc60 to main dealers, so if you prefer main dealer servicing them that is another tick in the xc60 box.
you might get laughed at when stuck in the snow in a 2wd version of a 4x4 😆
It's an expensive Chinese version of a Ford. Hmmm. Great.

Well, the Passat is still in the running, just thought it looked a different alternative.
Expensive - yes, but they must be offering the lease company good deals, as they would normally be out of my price range.

Very true - but the 4wd puts it in audi a6 estate price range, and I would go for the a6
manuel with stop / start, cheaper tax, 2ltr engine very reliable.DAB radio ,gun metal grey smoked windows, jobs a goodun,
Tom,
Mmmmmm....also liking the XC60 2WD diesel....
Is this a personal or business lease?
I'm looking for a good value personal lease and interested in the provider 😉
Good car - fantastic seats, great stereo, cruise well. A bit boring, perhaps, but a lot more interesting than a Passat. Quite a bit thirstier in real-world use though - 10mpg less, I suspect. You'll get maybe 35, and a Passat will certainly get 45.
I have insider info on the cx60 if your interested my email address is in my profile.
Nice, but I'd look at the V60 instead tax-wise if its a company lease. Loads better mpg too - although you'll have to take the front wheels off your bikes.
