It’s such a shame but you do wonder if it was ever credible with so much money still needed? Also there has to be some concern from potential backers about being linked to a potentially catastropic event!? Would loved to have seen it get to those speeds though.

Seems a lot of people felt the same, hence the financial shortfall.
For what it’s worth I wouldn’t be surprised if a consortium of not-in-any-way connected to the original team people buy it for £250k or whatever and carry on, leaving the original creditors holding the can.

Because it's such a small amount in the big picture of renewable and efficiency, both of which are much more suited to smaller investors, Guy Martin has the interesting records market sewn up at the moment.
