You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Well, perhaps not brand new. I'll hopefully be in the position to replace our aging Renault Laguna coupe in a few months. We're looking at an SUV, as due to being a bit knackered physically, I find getting in and out much easier due to the increased height. I'm looking at around a 2014 plate, which will take care of the scariest bit of depreciation. I'm torn between the Volvo XC60 and the Jeep Cherokee. There doesn't seem to be that much difference on paper between the two, and wondered if anyone on here could offer any opinions or advice.
Buy a big V8 jeep thing from about 16 ears ago and suffer no deprecration
If I could afford to run one, I would!
You could get one of the last Freelander 2's
My XC60 SELUX is quite ace.
Cant think of anything more to say about it.
I guess it depends on how you're going to use it.
The Jeep has an off road leaning. I wouldn't want the Vovlo to stray too far from the motorway or Waitrose carpark.
Isn't the Jeep made by Fiat?
Test drive both models then get a 2014 plate version of the one you like the most
You can afford to run one. If you can drop £20k on a car, spend £2k plus some extra petrol. People overestimate the extra costs of running a large engined car
I'd have the XC60 over almost anything else available tbh.
You can't really compare a Jeep to a Volvo quality wise. Volvo wins every time.
me and her indoors have just been through all this and ended up with a pick up truck looked at defenders and disco 4s but neither were big enough, has bloody leather heated whatsitdoodads and all the mod cons ,but doesnt actually drive as much like a pig as i would have thought
