My trusty LX3 is nearing the end of it's like sadly, having been dropped rather too many times, once down the side of a mountain. It now has a cracked screen, and quite often asks to be switched-off-then-on again. I could get an LX5, the obvious more recent equivelent. Or perhaps a GX1, as a similar style but better lens and sensor. I definitely don't want to rely on touchscreen as I wear gloves a lot of the time, but seems you can get around it with the GX1. I do like panasonic, but willing to look elsewhere if there's something good?
Cheers!

The GX1 is a lovely camera, I recommend it highly. Just beware of the 14-42 pancake powerzoom lens, the lenses currently have quality control issues. They are hit and miss. If you do purchase one get it with the standard 14-42 lens and then later on get the Panasonic 20mm F1.7 lens, which is utterly superb and has become somewhat of a cult item.

Prime lenses are where it's at! 🙂

I've got my dirty eyes on an Olympus OM-D E-M5 at the moment, in silver. Gooorgeous! But that's bigger and more expensive, the Panasonic's are the best value for money M 4/3 cameras.

or do what i just did, find the Oly E-PM1 dirt cheap somewhere, get the Pany 14mm F2.5 lens for $200 of ebay and you have a pretty small little set up. 20mm f1.7 is on my list too though.
