I've been thinking about trying film photography and picked this up from eBay. Appears to be in excellent condition for something 50 years old, as far as I can tell all fully working.
Any suggestions for where to buy film and where to get it processed?
Not a cheap hobby these days (film and processing).
I found Analog Wonderland good but soon gave up as so spoilt by digital with instant results and ability to just throw away bad shots with no cost.
Looks in good nick! The only things I've found that really deteriorate with age are the light-sealing strips where the back closes. If they're foam they can crumble. Used to be able to get new ones on ebay.
For processing I'd recommend The Darkroom (the-darkroom.co.uk).
Thanks, I'll check out those sites. The light seals look a bit crumbly but seem intact and otherwise I think it's in better condition than my digital camera.
I have one of those and a couple of lenses, inherited off my Father in law. I’ve not put any film through it, but it is a beautifully made thing. Everything feels so solid and mechanical.
Looks lovely. I used to shoot a role or two of film myself. B&W I used to develop to negative myself then scan. Developing colour is more tricky. Not sure where to get film from these days - 7 day shop used to be good but alas no more.
Last time I looked Silverprint were in London but now they are in Poole - lots of Colour and B&W film.
