I have applied for a pedlars licence so I can sell at markets for just £12.25 per year instead of £20-£50 per week with a stall. The only constraint is that I need to be able to move my stand so I have built my pedlars cart.

It is not quite finished as the elephant head needs to fully set and be painted before I add hooks to hang jewellery from but it all seems to work in principle and probably the only pedlars cart with a carbon fibre front fork!

What it needs is a squirrel tail to really finish it off

Pedlar is what it says on the licence application. Plus a Pedlar must not sell food. A costermonger may sell fruit and vegetables.

What's the difference between a costermonger and a dachshund?

One bawls out his wares on the pavement...

I have been told I can pick up my Pedlars licence from the police station this morning but looking out of the window at the weather, I am not sure my hand cart is the optimal design for this weekend

Is this one of those entrapment things, where they advertise a competition win so that they can arrest the crims?

Is there a war on pedaling? Pedlaring? Pedling? Selling stuff?

When I applied the copper asked what I would be selling.
I said art.
He said No food?
I said no food, just art and class A drugs.
He laughed and said as long as it wasn't food then it was fine.

I'm expecting an "are you bored enough to watch me haggle"

Good God man, what deformed, tortured animal did you see to inspire such a monstrosity.
That will most certainly upset folk of a sensitive disposition and terrify small children in market squares everywhere 🤣🙃😉

At least the paintings are nice
