Have a look through here:

For some friends, they went to O2 for regular broadband, and because they bought via quidco and get a rebate after 12months, effectively got it half-price.
It just depends what's available in your area. We can't get the decent SKY deals, which is annoying.

I get orange home max something or other for phone and broadband costs me about £16 per month- not sure if they still offer it, though you do need to be a pay monthly customer with em

Half price on o2 if you have a mobile with them. Just got it and the service was great

+1 for o2. Much cheapness, great service. Regularly win polls for customer service and service delivery.

Sky broadband ? If you move your phone to them I think you get the basic free. I pay £5 a month for the 10GB download per month. Still happy after about 3 or 4 years.

The sting in the tail with Sky is the free broadband is subject to a big installation/setup fee, the 'mid' product is cheaper, but only to top product has free installation.

well that, and it's not very good service. Got lots of drop outs and between 3-5 mbit with Sky. Tech support useless.

Switched to o2 LLU. It's cheaper, I get approx double the speed i used to and the line is stable.

don't go anywhere near Sky for broadband if you want my advice. Finally got shot a few weeks back and moved to Namesco - a fair bit more expensive but at least I'm getting functional service. Sky was absolutely useless unless you were limiting your connectivity to between 5am and about 2pm after which it slowed to a snails pace due to their shaping of traffic.

Another vote for O2, certainly if you have a mobile with them. Switched from BT at the start of the year, it's £7.50 a month for 8MB unlimited and £10 a month for 20MB unlimited if you're a customer with £50 off your mobile bill. Performance and service are both miles ahead of BT.

Given that I'm about to start a new job at TalkTalk, I ought to recommend them.... 😀

I have always used BT then we tried Virgin. Anyway to cut a long story short we are no back with BT and could not be happier. Virgin service was constantly going down and had to reset system at least 1-2 time per week, BT is just faultless and no premium rate numbers to call either.

Stay with what you have just cannot get any better in my books.
