I'm re-reading Carrying the Fire, by Michael Collins, which is one of my fave books, but I'm in the mood for something new along similar lines i.e. space-y/test pilot-y. Any suggestions?
The Right Stuff
Thanks, but I'd prefer an autobiography from someone who was involved.
Into the Black?
Mike Mullane's Riding Rockets.
Into The Black yes indeed, I'd read pretty much everything I could get my hands on about Apollo missions and this was an eye opener! Great read.
A Man on the Moon by Andrew Chaikin was also worth a read.
Not an autobiography, but I’m in the middle of ‘How Apollo flew to the Moon’ (yes, very imaginative title) for the third reading.
It’s very good.
The man in the hot seat by Doddy Hay
Tester for ejector seats. Been a long while since I read it but I remember it being entertaining
