The essential question is - what do I need to make my new boiler 21C compliant.

I am not 100% sure if I want seperate radiator control by an app but maybe.

we are getting a new boiler imminently as the old one has packed up.

It has been suggested that we get the honeywell lyric controller added on allowing us to control it remotely.

But I am trying to understand what is the difference or how honeywell lyric integrates with honeywell evohome.

so please offer your wisdom.

Also, If they are are a total baf of shite please say so.

I'm pretty certain Lyric doesn't integrate with Evohome (or if it does, it's just as a room stat). They were never designed to be used in the same installation and trying to do so will only end in tears, in my humble opinion.

Check if Honeywell make an OpenTherm compatible boiler controller, since if you're replacing the boiler it shouldn't be too difficult to install.

Dave.

Caveat: my Evohome knowledge is now several years out of date, but was quite advanced at the time I was working with the system and API.

Cheers Dave

Yeah, looks like they don't work together.

But they are both opentherm.
