Any boiler men in? Just had a quote for a new boiler and wondered how reasonable it was.
Quote is £3650. This includes removing the current gravity fed system (boiler, hot water cylinder and cold water tanks) and installing a Worcester Bosch 42 CDI Classic Combi. Includes standard flue, flue extension and flue bend, magnetic filter and ESi wireless thermostat.
Quote also includes running a new gas supply from the meter to the boiler (about 6m) and power flushing existing system.
Cheers all.
Goto the boxt website and get a quote from there. Should give you an idea if the one you have is competitive. From our recent boiler replacement that does sound ok though.
I had a job done about a year ago but without the magnetic filter (which I probs should have gone for but didn't think at the time and they didn't try to sell in) plus I fixed my Tado system back in so didn't have the wireless thermostat. They quoted 2.4k for a Worcester / 2k for a Main/Baxi
I had another mate quote and he said he couldn't do it for less so went with the first guy who's in our Road Club.
I'm in South Wales, not sure how localised pricing is but I'd have thought it'd be under 3k all in?
Cheers both. Hadn't heard of Boxt but their quote comes in slightly higher for the same boiler.
Boiler alone is c£2k at Screwfix, so a pretty good deal I'd say. Ideal Vogue Gen 2 are pretty good, 10 year warranty but max 40kW c£1250
I got a Bosch fitted seven years ago now- direct replacement for the ferroli that was there- for £1600 with a 7 year warranty.
