I know there are a few motorcyclists on here so thought I'd share some pics of my new bike that I picked up today. Looking forward to kitting it out and going on some tours and heated grips will be the first addition. Scotland in the spring and then Europe is the plan. It's been a few years since I owned a motorcycle but it felt good today riding back from the dealer and I'm looking forward to clocking up the miles.

Use postage.org if you are having problems posting pic mate. Just copy and paste the "hotlink for forums" directly into here. .👍

No idea mate, things got tricky after the form upgrade, but postage is petty much what most people use on here now.

No need to even sign up if it's just for a "disposable" image just for stw.

That bike looks spot on 🙂 Enjoy!

I was out today on my bike (Yahama MT-07) and other than being a little bit chilly it was a lovely day to be out on the bike. Two wheels and an engine, perfect!

Nice and clean, my KTM looks like its been dragged sideways through a drainage ditch.  Heated gloves are a god send.

Honda CB500X?
I like them, I can't ride a bike but if I got into it I think one of those would be top of my list.

Nice 👍 I do like these, cheap adventure, light and reliable. Have you saw the rally raid kit for them?

Sorry folks, I should have said it was a cb500x but it got picked up in the comments.

@couchy, that's my plan, some better off road tyres and hit the dust trails in Europe.

@yokaiser, I have RR bookmarked and will be buying a few parts from them. The first one being the engine guard once it's back in stock.

I'm changing the can today as the stock one is a bit vulnerable because of it's bulk. It sounds nice though.

I like that a lot (aside from the gopping can that you're changing, I would too).

My first (only!) bike was a CB500, only mid-90s vintage. They've come along a bit!

I got the can fitted and managed a dry ride for an hour this afternoon so that was a bonus :). It's a great riding position, very comfy. I could definitely do a lot of miles before feeling beat up. I put the screen on the high setting and it keeps the airflow above me. I'm 5'9" so taller guys may need an aftermarket screen.

Quick update. I got givi luggage for Xmas so fitted the racks today as it was dry outside. Also fitted a 12v socket and iPhone holder (ultimate addons). All ready for touring and adventures now.

The custom monkey is cool but I can't imagine going any distance on it. I want to fit some heated grips to mine. Has anyone fitted the oxford hot Grips? Are they simple to fit?

Rather than heated grips, I'd reccomend heated gloves. Much better than even heated grips + muffs, and you can take them between bikes.

Back when I used to commute year round, down to 1-2 degrees, heated gloves were the best things ever. I've got a pair of Gerbing XR12 gloves.
