Wore a suit/tie or shirt + trousers or dress shoes

Currently dressed in Aldi's finest jogging bottoms and one of their long sleeve tops - as I have been for 95% of the year.

I've been rigged out in Kilt + regalia though, once for a wedding.

Even in their biggest election win of the last 100 years - 1955 - the tory party still had less than 50% of the vote (of a 75% turnout) so on that occasion almost 2/3rds of those that could have voted didnt vote Tory . Its safe to say most people haven't voted Tory

watched any sci-fi film
watched any james bond film (have seen clips but no complete film)
and not quite, but sooooo close to never having seen a photo of liz truss.  was in greece when the queen died and boris was binned within days of each other.  id been aware of a few names in the hat but didnt really know them and when a greek waiter told us it was liz truss it was just a shrug of the shoulders and 'same old sh1t' comment (from them as well.  einai olles malakes :D).   we never watch the news, she didnt last long and i managed to go through her full tenure without even knowing what our prime minister looked like.  course it had to happen eventually, i accidentally saw something a mate put on facebook and spoiled it.  still to this day think ive only seen one photo of her.

You haven’t missed anything.

You’re joking, aren’t you?

Go and have a chicken tikka kebab from the Soices of Kashmir in Braughton or a king sized mixed from the Turkish Delight in Chorlton and you’ll experience some of the best food you’ve ever eaten

The only thing I’ve not tried is heroin and that’s only because I tend to consider most things a bit ‘moorish’.

Admittedly I'm referring to Doner kebabs, scoffed after a night of boozing. Maybe just the city center kebab shops arent the creme of the crop. Shish kebab im more into, but i get that cooked pink, or 'juicy' as the term goes, if you want less carbon on the outside.

I did work the night shift for a company many moons ago boning out lamb fores(shoulders) and flanks for doner making. Company supplied the large premade doner thing on the skewer for the local shops. Quite fatty and not the best lamb I've seen imho.

The only thing I’ve not tried is heroin and that’s only because I tend to consider most things a bit ‘moorish’.

I think you mean Moreish(Sometimes Morish, or Mourish)  Moorish usually denotes a style of architecture, or relating to Middle Eastern culture between the 8th and 15th centuries.

But yeah, I would avoid Heroin, it is as you say Moreish. Great instantaneous flu cure incidentally.

@susepic - you need to rectify that with 2 of the following. One in particular. Nobody should go through life without trying MDMA at least once, believe me. It’s bloody brilliant! As far as product names goes, ‘Ecstasy’ does exactly what it says on the tin 😃

Harking back to may rave days, E's really mess with your brain chemistry for a few weeks afterwards, it not so much you get a come down, the day after, it's more like long covid, you just don't feel right.

I've never done meth, but I did a lot of speed back in the day... and pretty much all drugs at one time or another....and the come down from speed is brutal, to put it lightly.

I just stick to craft beer these days.

nope, no star wars, third encounters type stuff, no jurassic park (altho personally i wouldnt class that as SF anyway), no horror SF, i genuinely dont think ive seen one.  never been much of a film watcher anyway and even accepting that SF is a broad spectrum (to include things like JP) i still dont think ive seen one.

EDIT:  and if JP is indeed SF, ive also never seen any of the raiders of the lost ark stuff either if that also qualifies?

Ever? not even as a child? Even in the reactionary forces schools I attended, PE was often "dance and movement" Or on your own when no one was watching? Shuffled your feet to the beat? Never?

That's a shame, I've met a few including one who'd had to leave in the 80s due to her support of the anti-apartheid movement. I must admit the Spitting Image song was going round my head but was completely unjustified.

No kidding. So all those cultural touchstone that folks use as short cuts (on here especially) "These aren't the droids" "Nuke it from orbit" "I have seen things you people wouldn't believe" and on and on and on, must go straight over your head.

Not sure that's something most people have done, even if every man had done so, I think they'd still be out numbered by the number of hetrosexual women + lesbians who hadn't had a threesome.

How is Jurassic Park (brilliant film, by the way) not science fiction? It's literally a fictional tale about impossible/futuristic science. It doesn't have to have ray guns and little green men to be science fiction
