Morning all,
I’ve just got a ubiquiti ap and set it up in my living room. I’ve one Ethernet port in the room, which was attached to my sky q mini box.
I have a bunch of questions as I don’t really know my bottom from my elbow:
- I’ve given the ap the same ssid and password as my bthub. Seems ok but I can’t tell which is being used without looking at the network map on my router. Is it ok set up like this?
- my main sky box is in the next room. As I understand it, this would be connected to my existing Wi-fi, and connected to the mini box via Wi-fi. How do I know if they are connected via the existing Wi-fi or to the new access point? Will they roam like a phone or pc would, for the strongest signal?
- we have a ring doorbell. How do I get that to review its connection? Do I have to reset it?
