I doubt if I'll get any responses to this post as I doubt anyone on here would have a Nespresso coffee maker!
Unfortunately we do........(but we also have a Gaggia classic for that Sunday morning brew!)
Though we have the maker, I'd like to buy an alternative to the Nespresso capsules.
We like fairly strong coffee and for a quick drink the Nespresso works for us.
I've searched on here and can only find old posts or pages slagging off the concept.
We've tried supermarket alternatives but to be honest they are tasteless and nowhere near as good as the originals.
There are dozens of Ads on Google, but does anyone have any real life experience of a good / great coffee pod alternative that will fit in our maker.
We use the L'Or ones if we don't have Nespresso ones. The black ones are pretty strong.
We save them up and get them recycled via Terracycle.
Aldi Ristretto
Amazon Solimo Ristretto
Amazon ones are crazy good value and a nice, strong roast.
Did I mention that they're £8 for 100?!
Cafepod online, do a great range and quick delivery. Better than Aldi capsules, cheaper than nespresso capsules and just as good if not better than any other on the supermarket shelves. Also do a good decaf for the evening!
I find Tesco has the best options if I need some quickly, they do a finest range of capsules with various different strengths and they also sell the Starbucks capsules, with the standard espresso roast being the strongest. All these capsules are aluminium and work find, whereas I’ve found some of the plastic alternatives don’t fit well in my machine.
The Starbucks capsules are fine. I but then local at Tesco. The Costa ones were poor and did. It give a good flow.
The Ily ones are very good, I prefer them to the originals.
Not a nespresso user, but when buying some beans I noticed that Rave coffee do compostable capsules:

I have no idea how they compare price-wise, but I really enjoyed the coffee I bought from them.
I get the Amazon ones. Tasty and incredible value
Nespresso seem to be vastly reducing the choice in their original capsules recently. So I've been trying the Starbucks pods, they are actually Nespresso aluminium capsules so no compatibility issues.
Coffee is pretty much as good as Nespresso, plenty of choice & £20 for 80 on Amazon - what's not to like!
You can buy dummy/refillable pods and choose your own ground coffee, might be worth a try.
Thanks for the heads up on those rave compostable ones- they are just up the road from us so hopefully when they are back in stock I can pick up a few to try.
The Starbucks capsules are fine.
+1 and often on offer in Sainsbury’s
@franksinatra which Amazon ones do you recommend? They sell several brands.

The Jackson's ones are pretty good.
