'If it seems too good to be true'
I see a Clarks shoes sale with 80% off. How would you check that it's a bonafide retailer?
Anyone have any experience with hottheoutlets.co?
I wouldn't trust that site at all - no contact info that i can find, lots of big payment logos to make it look legit - standard scammy stuff if you ask me.
Yeah I wouldn't be trusting that site. Like Rockhopoer said, no really contact info, the payment logos are low Res and poor quality.

There's clue number one.
I clicked on a few different styles and they had all sizes available which would also make me suspicious of a sale outlet.

Wow. Scamming bastards. Luckily I baulked at the gate. Good work STW, thanks all. Zee case is close-ed.
By simple virtue of the fact it doesn't have a secure certificate installed I would avoid.

Still, at least they sell Hunter wellies at a sensible price.

Free is overpriced for Hunter wellies, unless they come with a complementary white Evoque.

It has a very convincing logo though.
Even if it had that its no guarantee its legit, its just means they encrypt your data.

From my experience it’s with difficult to get a certificate without passing prettt stringent checks. Please tell me if it’s easier than that because we constantly fight on behalf of clients (many of which are very high profile organisations) to get theirs approved.
It’s a doddle to get an SSL certificate, you only need to pass through some checks if you are after an EV certificate, although they are pretty pointless despite what some certificate authorities will tell you.
@johndo. It's so, so easy to get a certificate for web traffic without any checks. Might be more difficult for other uses. However remember all a cert does is secure the message (or validate that an email/application comes from the owner of the cert). It doesn't make the owner legit.
