So the mrs' 40th is fast approaching and I want to do a personalised type of card.
All she's asked for, for her birthday is time, as in time with me (god knows why) time with the kids and time with family in general.
Fortunately I'm not dumb and have invested in some serious surprises involving time and the above but would like a nice poem or something to put on a card.
I know there's many a "well read" chap/ess on here so fire away.
Thanks in advance.
That'll make it special.......getting some anonymous geezer on a mtb forum to write your card for you 🙂
Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.
I know there's many a "well read" chap/ess on here so fire away.
Really? None of my business (until you posted it here 🙂 ) but wouldn't you feel a bit fraudulent when she sheds* a tear at something that someone else wrote?!
*This may not happen.
EDIT: Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Some poems are about time
This one isn't
Thanks ernie. I was just after inspiration for a quote, surely the thought is there by singlehandedly sourcing a company like "moonpig" to print my creation 😉
Should I test my own poetic skills
There once was a builder from belper....
So here is your birthday
And these are your kids
I am your hubby
You clean up my skids
I love you so much
You have such decorum
So to write you a poem
I turned to a forum
That's the end of the poem
It's filled full of win
Now here is your present
A new rolling pin
We have a winner!
Hahahaha that's excellent.
"Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives, but I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment because they'll never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived."
Someone should recognise it
Listen to Time by Pink Floyd..
For that really personal touch, you could just put 'time poem' into google.
It's always nice to be inspired by people more eloquent than ourselves. Try Brainyquote.
