Your suggestions please. I'm home alone. Probs just broke up with my GF, the weather is gloomy and I can't remember the last time I actually laughed at something.

Not a good state of affairs.

There's must be a good film out there that will cure all this? 🙂

Else it's just gonna be me, a bottle of wine and the internet 😕

If you like old Tom Hanks, I remember laughing at parts of the 'Burbs so much, I could hardly stay seated.

Can't testify to the quality of upload.

The Guard

With Brendon Gleeson ? An excellent movie but not really a comedy ?

OP if you like foreign films with subtitles then this is great - Omar Cy was Oscsr nominated
Les Intouchables

The Guard isn't a comedy?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1540133/

You sure about that? It's bloody hilarious.

In fact I've just watched that first clip on IMDB in the cafe and it's genius.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

John Candy + Steve Martin = Excellent

Also, consider the ever-brilliant Wes Anderson's 'Rushmore'. That film is one of the best. Bill Murray is SUPERB, and Olivia Williams is beautiful.

Oooooh..... Rushmore sounds good - LOVE Bill Murray! 😀

Withnail and I is another I've been meaning to watch for years - cheers guys!

Off out to get a tub of Ben & Jerry's now, having already had 2/3 of a bottle of wine and a bubble bath with candles. It's all getting a bit Bridget Jones. Possibly not very typical behaviour for a bloke, but hey 😆

Film nite should brighten it a up

I thought the idea of withnail and I was that you have to drink what they drink?

Hopefully the bubbles where due to copious manly farting and you are wearing not wearing "mummy knickers" 🙂

It looks like you've already sampled both 😯

As a matter of interest (and without getting this thread closed): Where does one watch these films? Is is a Netflix thing?

I'm sure for the purposes of this thread we can say 'it's a Netflix thing', but I don't have Netflix unfortunately, so will be googling... the power of Google - it's awesumz!

Fudge brownie in the end, I could've probably eaten both, but that would be total pig-o. 😆

Keep that up and he'll be menstruating!

Edit: in the spirit of helping, try zombie land - zombies, Bill Murray, zombies.

First thought was "The Guard", second was "how is The Guard not a comedy?".

A very good film (and it's worth it purely for Emma Stone) but it's not really LOL funny, IMO.
