HELP (please)!

For a variety of reasons (mostly my own lack of organisation), I need an activity suitable for 9 blokes on stag do in or around Cardiff next Saturday (2nd Oct). I've ruled out karting or paintball as most of the group do a lot of the former anyway, and the latter is a bit old hat/naff, IMHO.

The white water centre doesn't seem to have any availability sadly, so what would STW do?

p.s. Not the rowdiest bunch of lads - we're mostly country bumpkins, but needs to be fairly exciting.

The Wave is about an hour away, north of Bristol. My brother surfs there a lot, maybe a group lesson?

Whisky?

Penderyn

Newport Velodrome. They run a group beginners session - or at least they did before covid. Good fun as long as you can ride a bike.

I know it's not fashionable, but how about a walk? Stop somewhere nice, sit outside for a drink and chat. Most of the so-called activities are over pretty quickly anyway.

If you fancy a day sailing...Might be a numbers issue

in my experience all the blokes are just elated to be away from the wife & kids for a few days and will be quite happy to just sit in a boozer all day. Whenever ive been on a trip with organised activities they inevitably get sacked off anyway.

We did a butchery experience for my stag. During which we butchered a stag and then at the end it was cooked and we ate it. Followed by the obligatory drinks of course.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the day and the food.

Escape room?

Shouldn’t last longer than 1hr plus briefing/debriefing. Follow it up with a bit of axe throwing and plenty of beer.

Gorge scrambling is good, we did one that involved the people running it setting up a zip wire down from the top of a waterfall.

Somewhere with a bouldering wall?

Er, mountain biking?

Actually going on a walk is a good idea.

I think at this time of year the main stag activity is rutting.

Thanks all for your suggestions, I got there in the end, plumped for distillery tour, battle bar and stand up comedy. All include alcohol, are inside (terrific considering the forecast) and shouldn't get anyone broken before the wedding...

Being totally selfish, I discovered today that I have some potentially quite bad rotator cuff damage, so sedate suits me.

Stag stag stag, why was he born so beau... Etc

WTF is a battle bar?

Do you separate the saucer section from the main bar?
