My Nike Desutz have sadly died after 8 years of sterling service, cant seem to track down any new ones so what does the collective recommend?
Socks will not be worn but knitting yoghurt is an option.
I got some of these last year - a little pricey, but good quality and most of all, comfortable:

I see they only have limited sizes, so a look at their range may help? -

Apologies if you are after biking kit - these are general purpose
Fond of Berkies myself. 30 quid in TK Maxx.
Thanks
Haggis have you got to get the sizing spot on with the Keen
Chaco are the best I've tried by miles - they and Birkenstocks are the only ones that don't get really smelly.
I like Birkies for £30 at Tk Maxx but they aren't that good for walking a long way in, and they aren't particularly robust. And they don't seem to like riding bikes, and if you are fixing your bike and jump on it to test it out whilst it has SPDs on you'll probably break the cork sole...!
I have a pair of those Keens - they stink and are hot.

I just went for the same size I normally take in trainers, they have been great and I have worn them all day on low level walks (no socks). 🙂
Keens are comfortable and great for even long distance walking (I have fat feet).
2 caveats:
They don't seem to like tropical weather, I've had 2 pairs start to come apart after rough walks in very hot conditions. The bonding between layers gave way.
Get a size up to stop the stink: my 9s made my feet smell, size 10 didn't.

I've had two pairs of Keen actual shoes, and my wife one. All have broken up or are in the process of breaking up after not that much use. As Moses said, the soles un-glued (along with other issues).
My Keen sandals are slightly big and my feet slide around loads - due in part to no heel asjustments.
Keen or Birkenstocks.
Birkies are great for just general mooching about and ideal if you suffer from sweaty feet(i do) but not great for clambering about or long walks.
Got some keens like the ones above but are leather where they are fabric.
Great for clambering over wet rocks and rough ground but your feet do get warmer than the Birkenstocks,i can comfortably west them in 10c weather(with no socks of course).
Some of the keens you do need to go up a half size, it even mentions it on there website.
The only sandals I've seen that I liked were Teva Khanarli (spelling?) Raptors - never had them though and now they don't make them - bugger.
Birks from TK for me too.
Keen sandals fell apart after 1 summer of moderate use. Low rise walking shoes, on the other hand, are well nigh indestructible. Maybe I was just unlucky with the former. They do look a bit stupid though.
Live in Birkies around the house/garden etc. Not really practical for extended walking imho.
Dunno if this helps really............
My Columbias gave up the ghost after about 10 years, mainly only worn on holidays in Spain & Goa or when it's hot here, they still weren't completely Fubared but I left them in India.
I was sponsored by keen for a couple of years and have a massive stockpile! They do quite a few models from the classic above to much lighter ones. Great sandals that you can do stuff in!
I would go for Keen leather sandals as I have used them throughout SE Asia for the last few years. Even the dogs love them to the point of chewing mine to pieces but luckily I got the local Thai Cobbler to repair them for me. My keen is full of stitches now but I still like them.
If I were to buy another sandals I would try this out at £29.99 from here or from here
Exactly similar to Keen ... I think but they are called combat sandals.
