I've always gone down the route of Bosch Professional, and my trusty 14.4V hammer drill is on it's last legs - well the drill is fine but the batteries have had it and not worth replacing.

There seem to be lots and lots of deals out there - what I'm after is a good all rounder, must have 10mm chuck, impact drill and torque setings. Should I go Bosch again or maybe try something else?

to be honest I want to spend as little as possible - but at the same time want something that will last. So maybe 150 quid tops. I can get a new 14.4 VE2 Li for 100 quid but only with 1.3A batteries.. Thinking to switch make but have no experience with others

Makita BHP453RFX 18V 3.0Ah Li-ion Cordless Combi Drill for £149, complete with fast charger, mine has not let me down yet (paid a stack more than £150 for mine) & will re-charge in a Tea break 😉

I use an 18V Hitachi which is lovely, but I think might set you back £200+

Any Makitas on offer anywhere? A sometimes colleague has these (the combi and the little impact driver). They're lovely to use

Just having a quick browse online, and 14.4V Makita in your budget only seems to come up with 1.3Ah batteries right enough. Going to 3.0 Ah seems to push prices into the £200+
