Sorting out a ceilidh and need something to show people what it is, youtube has lots of stuff but to be quite frank I'd be put off rather than encouraged by what's on there
anyone with fun, fast and if possible sexy ceilidh footage?
A friend of mine has just published a DVD on just this subject - will email him now.
awesome, sounds promising-even if he has a trailer I can link back to a site that'd be great
Details, I think you have to buy the DVD, but they have recorded songs and have people showing you the steps on the DVD:
"Its called "The Full Set" by The Occasionals
You can get it from Coda music on the Mound, just down from Deacon Brodies."
Thats in Edinburgh, a folky music specialist I am sure they will do mail order. This deserves to be a huge hit and finally an end to Ceilidh Carnage...
Linky thingy;
yeah eh prob not going to lay out £16 just to show folk what a ceilidh is not sure if i made it clear, im not trying to show them how to dance just what a ceilidh is the vids on youtube are all either school gym or look pretty dull
cheers anyway
