Got a bunch of friends coming over on Sunday for a BBQ (I know...), thought we'd get a Chiminea to make things a bit more comfortable.
Given the timescale I'll need to get it from Argos or B&Q (or similar).

Anyone recomend one?

Cheers.

Steel instead of pot as I suspect you don't have the time to do a few heat cycles to stop it cracking..

I'm a fan of the washing machine drum conversions, depends where in the country you are, but numerous ebay sellers and if you are close enough you could collect. Cheaper than a ceramic one which will probably crack if you heat it then it hits freezing over night!

Family Bargains do a large size version for around £60. We got one similar from another retailer and its fantastic. Cast metal version & kicks out an incredible amount of heat.

BBQ for Sunday!!!!

...I'd see if they did a multi-buy - perhaps 6 or 8 of them so they can form a ring of heat around you and your friends.

I saw the aldi ones last year and was tempted. Was in Dobies yesterday and they have a nice "tulip" firepit for the same price.

Weather for Sunday actually looks OK* for the south east

*relative to the recent winter-summer-winter-spring-winter-autumn in the space of 30 minutes ****ed up nonsense

Got a metal one from Homebase, plus a new axe from Aldi (I went in for a box of Fruit & Fibre!), so looking forward to a morning of wood chopping tomorrow in preparation of its inaugural flaming!
