We're getting a pup. After much to-ing and fro-ing... Wife denied my request for a German or Belgian SD. (Boo.... Boo indeed).
I never wanted a small / toy dog.
However, we've decided we're getting a Cavoodle (or cavapoo). Found a breeder locally. We've seen the pups (and chosen one) and named it already (Wife said Marley - I said you can't name a dog Marley. She said "you can". I said sit down and watch Marley and me and let me know. We;'ve met Mom and Dad - both lovely temperament - Dad's white Cavoodle and Mom's ginger. Pup is mostly ginger with a white patch on his nose and head.
So we've called him Ziggy (I know, quite a common name for a dog these days but we all agreed).
