Heading over that way next weekend and hoping to do a route that starts/finishes at the trail centre and that incorporates some good natural trails as well as the trail centre itself.
The Tarw Du trail runs West of the road and would seem to go close to the Pont Scethin route. Is it possible to link the two up?
Are there any other good, natural routes (by that I guess i mean with a decent amount of singletrack and/or some good descents) that link up to the trail centre?
Any insight welcomed 🙏
Thanks in advance!
Watching with interest. I asked at the bike shop last time about the trails and bridleways over that direction. They said they were shit and not to bother
have a look on strava global heatmap to see what the locals are doing
Depending where you want to go, when stopping in the log cabins https://www.logcabinswales.co.uk/ I used to pedal up and then over through undulating singletrack through a fast rough slate section and into the top trail centre to the left and up a you look at it from the car park.
Some great riding in between and am sure you could make a loop as big as you need.
Ditto
Am up that way in a couple of weeks and like to mix some natural and manmade bits together
There are a few 'cheeky' sections out to the S on both sides of the centre.
Thanks guys. How does the strata heat map thing work then? Is it available with a standard subscription (which I have)?
That route from the cabins seems doable. Lots of options I guess, think I'm going to buy me an old fashioned ordnance survey map..
Look towards the Llanfarchreth area, there where a few tracks / trails used on a former xc race. Although I have not
Ridden them there seem to be quite a lot of tracks used by enduro motorbikes, look on youtube.
Eryri 360 series also have a loop around the area but you may have tomoay for the gpx files.

just login and go to https://www.strava.com/heatmap#
Try googling the Howie's cyb enduro route that had some good off piste.
The drover's pass that gets you through towards the sea is Bwlch Drws Ardudwy, a great walk with mountain goats etc but I wouldn't bike it. You end up on the wrong side for Pont Scethin too.
You're better off driving to Cors y Gedl and paying in the honesty box to park, then you can use the water works road to start your ride if you want to go to that side. There are a few bridleways, plan your own route off an OS map and it's pretty straightforward.
