I dropped my phone last week. It survived (sort of) but has a twisted frame and is covered in dents. One such dent includes the non-removable lithium ion battery.
The insurance are refusing to pay for repairs / replacement unless the phone is returned to them. I can't, in good faith, send an item with a faulty battery through the post considering there's a chance it might travel by air.
It's a stand-off. Is there a compromise? Battery held in with micro-security-Torx and glue.
Clueless but worth commenting as a bump
Firstly how very responsible of you
Secondly I assume you have used the phrases
"What is your policy on the transportation of potentialy dangerous items"
and
"Can I speak to your supervisor"
Oh and have you got statement from a courier sayong they can't carry a phone in that state
