just seen a witty ad in the classified for the NASA Space Shuttle.
Made me think of a question...
What kind of mountain bike (model or brand) would the Space Suttle be...
Some things to consider...the shuttle been around for an quite a long time, and 'erm went into space quite a lot...
all I can think of is Pace as it rymes with 'Space'. Any suggestions?
It has to be something quite technological that didn't actually properly deliver on it's original promise, was wildly costly to make and run, had some significant flaws and didn't last as long as it was supposed to.
Any of the early Trek fullsuspendion frames - particularly the OCLV versions
How about a GT LTS carbon?
Mojo Ibis? Didn't they have a reputation for breaking?
Ibis Bow-ti?
Surely it'd be some sort of DH bike. After all it gets carried to the top by another vehicle and then coasts back down to earth.
One of the Honda G-Boxx bikes, lots of individual proprietary tech then abandoned far to early without a replacement.
good example, ties in well 🙂
like the DH bike idea! could be one Cannondales crazy & complex full sussers then ? - or something made during the craze for 'thermoplastic'
Mountain cycle - san andreas
more like a raleigh activator. built as cheap as possible, prone to falling to pieces and doesn't actually work as well as the makers claim
need another seven astronauts. hehe. <chuckles to himself>
