On Netflix, really enjoying it, has the Pigface recommendation, which means SFA 😀
Finished it last night, pretty excellent with a few cameos from the 'original' Narcos to tie/hold it all together. I don't know for this is to run in parallel with the original Narcos or is a replacement but either way it's well worth watching.
I'm only couple of episodes so won't be checking back into this thread. Enjoying it so far.
Just finished it. Must have an enthusiastic SFX dept as some of the gunshot wounds  have been quite graphic. 😀
Binned it halfway through the first episode, can't deal with subtitles which is a shame as I really enjoyed Narcos
Just finished Narcos - there was a 'tie' in when the DEA Agent is talking to his 'father' whilst putting up fence posts on a farm and they keep seeing drugs boats sail past on the river - his father says 'Mexico is different'. Set slightly after possibly.
Looking forward to watching it.
Just watched in all last week, struggled to enjoy it as much as the Colombian series and found the ending a little too implausible.
I watched a couple of episodes. It's tolerable, but suffers from the same problem as the first series, which is that the cops are portrayed as unrealistically heroic. The whole rebellious loner showing up the establishment thing is cliched and implausible. Once they got rid of that annoying white guy with the crap facial hair and had the Latino cop as the main guy, the Colombian one was much better. I'll keep watching it, but I give it a B minus because of the cliched script.
I think the original series was based on a book by an ex DEA agent, but imvho Narcos Mexico would be better if it had simply just dropped the DEA angle and been a Spanish-language drama about the dealers themselves. As hols says - all this "im gonna kick ass and I dont give a damn what those Washington jerks say" stuff is really tired
