If it's a girl - Brexitannia, in memory of the valiant efforts her mother is making to vote in this issue.

Struggling to think of a name for a boy though - Caesar?

If it's a boy who's born during the journey from the vote to the hospital, it has to be Carson doesn't it?

It is indicative of just how the low the Tories have stooped that she feels she cannot trust the ‘pairing’ system since they stitched up Jo Swinson and then have claimed ‘it was an accident’ ever since.

Chinny reckon.

An ‘accident’ in the same way as “he just fell down the stairs” or “shot whilst trying to escape”.

Not that this helps with the naming.

How about Snowdrop the pretense?

Weak.

Drama Queen - after her mother.

Motion was defeated by 230 votes - she didn't really need to vote.

I think she was one of those who was screwed over in the past over the paired voting system which was abused by the current government. Good on her for turning up, example of an MP who gives a shit about her country.

Agreed I wouldn't trust a proxy vote either given the background of vote counting 'accidents' but come on, delaying a non-emergency c-sec for 24 hrs is hardly a big deal. Definitely a bit of show boating going on there.

Was it an emergency? They don't tend to delay those, they would moved a planned one with no real issue.

Definitely a bit of show boating going on there.

Maybe, but it highlights (embarrassingly and inconveniently for some) the fact that the Tories cheated and stitched up Jo Swinson. And that they still couldn’t even be honest about that. So a job well done.

Not a pop at DrJ but can anyone summarise the video for me. Seems a bit bonkers that we have to have a video to display some text. Hohum.

What about the no confidence vote, will she use the paired voting system for that? Be interesting to see if it's honoured if she does.

Sorry - the video refers to the incident when TS was pressed by C4 on the issue of her being a horrible liar regarding involvement in Bangladesh politics and responded by making a nasty comment to the pregnant journalist. TS is now demanding sensitivity to pregnant women but she sure didn't show any on that occasion.
