Charlie & Lola think you should call him Bob. (to be fair, charlie & lola's standard answer is to call all things Bob)

Chief. In one of our old places there was a local ginger tom (big and fluffy but not a Maine Coon) who was awesome and we nicknamed him Chief.

We re-homed a Ragdoll and his pedigree name is Lord Snooty, which is quite apt, although his everyday name is Chester.

MCs are brilliant. Love ours. We've just got two kittens, I wanted to call them Dave and Steve but the Mrs wasn't impressed so I obviously lost.

If you've not had them before by lots of bottles to drink out of. Our old one loved nothing more than walking around the house knocking glasses over. He also liked jumping on my chest in the middle of the night. A 9kg cat is quite a surprise at 3am.

On a serious note have his parents been screened for HCM? We lost one of our lovely Maine Coons, Wilf aged 5, we only found out through a routine vet appointment where they spotted his arrythmic heart beat, he didn’t last long after that

My wife is a bit worried about insulting the breeder... :-/

Any decent breeder won't mind you asking. We asked our breeder for a bit of info on tests and they sent us the parent's genetic test results.

The wife asked, apparently the parents and grandparents have been screened. So seems ok.

I’d call him Ichabod, in keeping with his heritage.

He’s a handsome bugger, isn’t he?

Love Maine Coons. They’re great cats. When I met Mrs Binners she had an enormous MC called Mr Darcy. He’d fall asleep on me with his paws on my shoulders, stretched out full length. It was like having a labrador lying on you. Now we’ve two rescue moggy’s called Che Guervara and Nelson Mandela

I got the Megatron as a Peep Show reference too, so if not Super Hans, how about Johnson?

That's good news from the breeder. He looks like a Roy or a Clarence to me.
