Although I have never heard that version until 5 minutes ago, some others I'm to embarrassed to talk about, but I must say the above really hits a cord.

Whats yours?

Edit, one of the embarrassing ones is

Stuart Morrow^

Like Tazzy I was very much into The SDC right from the start, being in their local Leeds/Bradford Punk scene, up until about The Cult Love Album, Dead Kennedys, Crass and The Cramps featured heavily.

Saw this live on TV, 14 years old, had never listened to metal before. Never really listened to music before tbh! This changed all that, not overnight but it was the start. Thanks Metallica! I owe you me.

I always found most Metal, right from early LedZep thru to Metallica and lots inbetween, all very cheezy and pretentious. Big hair-doos, strutting/prancing around on stage etc etc. Cringe worthy. Motorhead and a handful of others being the exception.

This went through my head and carried me through some very arduous physical tests.
I still hear it when things get a little tough, but nothing will be as hard as that was.

Not sure about 'made me the person I am' but this one certainly reflects exactly who I am and how I feel a lot of the time as a wife and mother. Bit of a dirge but it's one of the most played songs on my iPod and I'm sure the lyrics will strike a chord with many.

Give unto me your troubles
I'll endure all your suffering
Place onto me your burden
I'll drink your deadly poison

Can't really argue with that... But I don't choose music based on how it looks, otherwise I would just listen to Girls Aloud.

Probably the Grease soundtrack. All the cool kids at school loved it. I hated it and wanted no part. That's when I fully embraced punk rock and took an outsiders approach to life. I've not fully fitted in since.
Every time I leave my house in suburbia and drive my mondeo to the garden centre with my wife i take time to sing a crass song to myself. Just to let myself know i'm still out there just a little bit.

I would have to blame Jean Michel Jarre for my exceptional music taste, the first tape I bought was Zoolook when I was 8. Far too much to pick out all the rest on the way but have been through metal, grunge, free parties, indie, hip hop, rave, jungle, DnB, techno, deep house phases but will listen to anything if it's good, although I'd probably say chillwave is where I'm at now.

This evening I am mostly digging......

Aged 5, raided my parents record collection and learned the words, sang it incessantly for about 6 months:

Aged 19, running beach raves and someone handed me the green album, thank you:
