We recently went to the cinema to see Christopher Robin with solarider jnr.

Before the main feature, there was an advert that is relevant to something I am working on but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was for or track down the ad itself. After much head scratching, my wife suggested the usual - why don't you post something on 'the bike site'?! So here goes:

1) The ad is set in the near future where a mega corporation runs everything and has eliminated independent thinking, independent business and the high street. Everybody sleepwalks into buying everything from this mega corporation.

2) Against this background a woman runs one of the last independent bakers/cake shops, but she is struggling and about to close her shop and sell it to the mega corporation. As she walks to work, tailored holographic adverts taunt her to sell up.

3) For reasons I can't quite remember there is a revolt against the mega corporation and right at the end of the advert a little girl walks into the bakers and asks for a cake - the first one the owner has sold for weeks.

I can't remember what the advert was for. It was really poignant and a warning about the likes of Amazon taking over every aspect of our lives.

Has anybody seen it? Does anybody remember what it was for and where I might find a copy?

This might be a front runner for random post of the week, but hopefully somebody else on here saw it!

Type of Cinema may help, some use DCM who might share what their current ads are, if you can work out who was running the ads, you may be able to narrow down what the advert was for.

Phoned DCM. Tracked it down. The Guardian Newspaper ‘Spaces for Change’. Now just need to find the ad! Not on YouTube.

STW does it again!!!!!

I always thought that the Pearl And Dean music was just written for the advert, not a proper big band song that they nicked.

Must be the most famous advert music ever?
