Most of the vagina’s on there, definitely don’t look pre-pubescent
there have never been any vaginas on NA
as for pubic hair - it helps prevent infection.
why have we evolved that the ‘vanilla’ position for humans is missionary whereas most (if not all) other land based mammals go doggy?
The theory I have heard and I have no idea how valid is that as the humans evolved to be more upright the spine / pelvis / hips changed shape so sitting down brought the lady bits into contact with the ground so then further evolution moved the lady bits further to the front compared to animals to stop dirt getting in
When hair follicles get infected.
Pilionidal sinus is more that a hair in grows under the skin, dies and then rots cos it cannot fall off leading to a massive subcutaneous infection
I hope you’re not trying to pervert us with your prepubescent ears
@Northwind bravo Sir, you have given me the biggest laugh in ages… and I really, really needed it.
there have never been any vaginas on NA
correct - thats the internal bit
correct term for the totality of the womans externally visible genitalia is pudenda but its never used, vulva is almost right IIRC but does not include everything visible on the outside?
Vulva is all the external bits. labia (major & minor), entrance to the vagina, clitoris and hood, the pubic mound and a few other bits I can't remember.
Ta - its a long times since I learned that anatomy 🙂
@MCTD I've had several abscesses in that general area over the years, mostly when I was a kid. Was pretty horrendous tbh. Haven't had one for many years now thankfully.
IIRC I was actually recommended to wax rather than trim or shave but I never really did it I don't think.
……the fashion for removing your pubes comes from
twomany placesIts totally fashion and recent at that and comes from my imagination
Well, the Romans routinely removed their body hair. Mainly through plucking. Which in fairness does smart a bit. The perverts.
Ah yes -= the romans - those bastions of respectability and consensual sex with adults only
the recent fashion for shaved pubes is just that - very recent and don't try to kid yourselves - its about appearing prepubescent. Its not what people are pursuaded its about but that is the reality of its origons
I have often wondered how much pubes the sewage people have got :-)))
Toenails then. Any use whatsoever for the modern human? If I could, I'd have them surgically removed
the recent fashion for shaved pubes is just that – very recent and don’t try to kid yourselves – its about appearing prepubescent.
This may well be a fetish in Japan, but I rather suspect that its origins in the Western world is pr0n. Simply put, you can see what's going on better.
The last time I looked at grumble I was probably still a student, I kinda lost interest in grot when I discovered real girls, but au naturel hairy growlers were definitely still the mainstream back then. Landing strips were just taking off (so to speak) and the fully-shaved foof was the domain of high-class rhythm pamphlets like Shaven Ravers. Oh, and Razzle, where you could just about see what the poor girl had for breakfast.
Toenails then. Any use whatsoever for the modern human?
Never dropped anything heavy (or sharp) on your foot? Stubbed your toe?
I thought the whole point of shaving was to make ones dong look bigger. That's what a friend said anyway.....
Its totally fashion and recent at that and comes from a very dodgy place.
Only in your head. There's hieroglyphs showing Egyptian women doing the same things; removing armpit hair, pubes, shaving legs. To ascribe it all to recent porn or "dodgy places" is a reflection on you, not society. Humans have probably always messed about with their hair. Some Irish bog-men have a sort of slick hair gel made from wax, meso-American tribes shaved body hair, to name a couple of examples. Shaving yer bits is just an extension of the same.
the recent fashion for shaved pubes is just that – very recent and don’t try to kid yourselves – its about appearing prepubescent
What load of tripe TJ, I've had girlfriends that have done it and their main reason from all of them was that it felt hygienic, especially when their period came round. Sod all to do with looking prepubescent.
Swavis -thats what the fashion industry has told them. where the fashion has come from is different. Its the truth. People like those girlfriends have been conned Its actually less hygienic., causes ingrowing hairs, more likely to get skin infections
Swavis -thats what the fashion industry has told them
Is this the same fashion industry that's persuaded you not to wear powdered wigs, frock coats and tights? How about the idea that maybe, just maybe, people who decide, "you know I'm going to to do x to my body hair" just might be acting autonomously...like you're oh-so quick to tell everyone that you do?
On another thread you were literally having a pop a Molly claiming that bandwagon phenomena wasn't a thing, "junk science" I think you called it, and here you using the same argument to ascribe just one motive to everyone that messes with their own hair.
"Anyone who likes shaved fannies is a paedo"
Stop beating around the bush TJ and say what you really mean.
Don’t waste the electrons; it’s just not worth discussing anything with tj after he’s decreed what the truth is.
TJ is definitely an expert on fannies.
Swavis -thats what the fashion industry has told them.
Aye OK then, you're right, they're wrong... 🙄
Stop beating around the bush TJ and say what you really mean
Very apt 👏😂
Really guys. Stop inventing things you claim I have said
go and read up on this and read some feminist / sexual politics stuff
It does amuse me when you do not like the message you attack the messenger
Lets be 100% clear - i am NOT accusing folk of being peados. the roots of pubic shaving are very clear and as above - but people have been indoctrinated to think this as something normal and hygenic when its actually less hygienic and purely fashion.
This thread was fairly light hearted and actually educational at some points until you dragged it into an argument....
Does this feminist literature really say that what women do with their bodies should be dictated by an angry middle aged man on the internet?
I've only seen Naked Attraction once and the woman simply picked the man with the largest penis. I won't be going on the show.
This thread was fairly light hearted and actually educational at some points until you dragged it into an argument
Totally. I'd written it off as titillation and voyeuristic but some good points have been made about body shapes, what is 'normal' and particularly sexualities. The contrast to Love Island and other mainstream programming is interesting too.
but people have been indoctrinated to think
Apart from you though, right? Make your mind up TJ
I'd give you the point on ingrown hairs, but how can having a fanny like a burnt oot railway embankment be cleaner than a trim one?.

Time to roll out the 'are you new here?' question...
A typical STW thread goes through a reasoned stage, then some mild piss taking, followed by arguing over minutiae, then some nasty stuff before it's finally closed. Standard stuff init?
Ooo and I read all those fanny related words up there ^ in the voice of Nurse Gladys Emmanuel. Phwooooorrr 😜
go and read up on this and read some feminist / sexual politics stuff
"Do your own research," really?
the roots of pubic shaving are very clear
They will be after you've just shaved. Try waxing instead.
but how can having a fanny like a burnt oot railway embankment be cleaner than a trim one?.
Indeed. Won't someone think of all the homeless Pthirus pubis.
Which is more interesting than you may think. So, our public lice diverged from a gorilla species about 3.3Mya, so our ancestor species have had pubic lice* since at least then.
*head lice are a different species.
Didn't the female GB track cycling team get told not to shave their pubic hair off as it was causing rashes/discomfort or something?
Never watched it, but I am sure that all sorts are drawn to appear. Although I imagine no skoptics. And why stop at hair?

I know I know, I should know better.

Could say that about the whole forum recently IMO.
Middle-aged male fannies who need to have to have an opinion (and be right) about every topic that comes up.
Didn’t the female GB track cycling team get told not to shave their pubic hair off as it was causing rashes/discomfort or something?
Iirc, they were told not to shave it off as the stubble and regrowth caused problems. I'm pretty sure trimming was still OK, but over time the story seems to have been they told to go Full Mirkin
I was always under the impression it was just a nonsense story (about BC not shaving). Same as GB having rounder wheels etc.
As a roadie I’m proud to be shaved. Have been pretty much all my life. The making it look longer thing doesn’t work for everyone! I didn’t see the point in stopping shaving at the thighs so carried on, just became the norm for me. Certainly didn’t have any unsavoury thoughts about it.
(Ex wife hated it by the way!)
Does this feminist literature really say that what women do with their bodies should be dictated by an angry middle aged man on the internet?
That's it for me. People being free to do what they want with their own bodies trumps any theorizing over the politics of muffs for me. Slightly surprised someone as right-on a TJ doesn't also see it that way.
they told to go Full Mirkin
Eh... That would involve removing it all first...
Of course I understand " peoples bodies their right to do as they wish"
What you lot do not want to understand is where this fashion comes from
the two things are different issues
with that I am out - the way you guys invent things then claim I said them then use that false narrative to attack is aburd.
Of course I understand ” peoples bodies their right to do as they wish” What you lot do not want to understand is where this fashion comes from
If the answer to you maintaining your long hair isn't "because fashion" then STFU about other people's motives?
I would imagine there could be an element of truth to what TJ is suggesting (though I'm not sure he's said specifically what that actually is) - but as usual it's descended to massively black and white extreme generalisations.
I know plenty of hippy/feminist types who often don't shave anywhere, or they do sometimes but not others, or trim some places but not others - as they see fit. It's really none of my business and I only know either because they talk about it or because skinny-dipping and saunas are a thing. 🙂
If the answer to you maintaining your long hair isn’t “because fashion” then STFU about other people’s motives?
I said nothing about individuals motives - just where the trend has its orgions
As for my long hair - I haven't had it for years and the reason I grew it? totally shallow - I grew it to piss off all my slaphead pals 🙂
with that I am out
Well done on being out for all of 23 minutes.
just where the trend has its orgions
In your opinion. If you want others to accept that you have autonomy, then you have to agree that others do as well. You can't then say;
Swavis -thats what the fashion industry has told them
or
but people have been indoctrinated to think
As it makes you look somewhat hypocritical. You frequently tell anyone who'll listen that advertising has no effect on your decisions, then have the decency to accept and respect that other people may make decisions about their bodies that have nothing to do with the reasons you may personally ascribe to them acting in the way they do. AND, even if some-one has watched some pron and thought to themselves "Hey, I like the bald look", WTAF has it got to do with whether you think it's "come from a dodgy place" or not?
And lets unpack that particular nugget: Essentially you're suggesting that anyone who's expresses a preference for shaved or trimmed pubic hair is some sort of pervert or pedophile, and by extension anyone who shaves or trims for their partner's enjoyment is enabling that behaviour. Is that really what you think?
For some women not shaving is a decision they've made for political reasons, for others, it may also be no else's business.
What you lot do not want to understand is where this fashion comes from
Of course we want to understand. We just need something slightly more concrete than "TJ says so therefore it must be true." If roles were reversed you wouldn't be accepting that as an argument.
If it's clearly documented as you claim then it should be quite easy for you to reference your sources and prove everyone wrong. Off you pop, we'll wait.
Blimey! Would it be fair/safe to say there seem to be more knobs on here than Naked Attraction? 🙃
BTW. I don't know the 'why' for shaving but I personally prefer something that looks a bit more grown up. As for hygiene, people have been known to wash pre shag...
What? and ruin the flavour??
Wonder if TJ shaves his face? What's that all about?
But more important than that: "burnt oot railway embankment" is absolutely first class.
Eh… That would involve removing it all first…
I know, it sounded funnier in my head.
I know that this won't fit with the all or nothing, black and white world of internet arguments, but I suppose it's possible that some people do it due to some unpleasant child like fetishism, and others do it for purely personal, non paedophilia related reasons. You know, there might be a respectable grey middle ground?

Every Wednesday night back in the day at 42nd St in Whitley Bay. I know. I had the great 'fortune' to work there...at least the tunes were good

Grab a Grannie night?
Usually a disreputable middle ground....
As a roadie I’m proud to be shaved
Only up to the shorts line for me. Otherwise chaffage. After a 24h TT I grew a third testicle as an abscess due to abrasion injury, infection and some topical steroid cream. That was surely my moment to apply!
You know, there might be a respectable grey middle ground?
A little old lady wanders into a tattoo parlour and asks for a tattoo of Mike Tyson on her left thigh and Frank Bruno on her right thigh (guess the age of the joke). Once the tattooist is finished the little old lady's unimpressed with his work and says neither of them look like who they're meant to.
The tattooist calls in his mate from the other room, he takes one look and says, "I've no idea who the blokes on each side are, but the one in the middle's a dead-ringer for Don King"...
Snakes? slow worms? Fish?

Yep.
Those that haven’t experienced the effects of minty tea tree shaving cream/shower gel during, and after a good topiary session haven’t lived.

Reminds me of the (perhaps apocryphal) story of the rock singer Wendy O. Williams who purportedly had a W tattooed on each buttock check to read WoW
Wonder if TJ shaves his face? What’s that all about?
To look less manly and therefore more prepubescent according to some reputable research. 😀

Uh huh, bringing a world of your own preconceptions about why other people trim/shave/ or do whatever to their pubes there. I’m willing to bet money a vanishingly small number do it “to look prepubescent”
Absolutely. It’s got bugger-all to do with looking ‘prepubescent’, at least for most people, AFAIAA, it’s down to aesthetic appeal, and/or comfort. Some people are very much attracted to others with a lot of body hair, others aren’t, and I’m one of those.
Also, there are times when trying to cough up hairs from the back of your throat, like a cat with a hairball, can really spoil a moment… 😉

Christ, no!
I used to sell memberships at a big health club chain. We had an Aussie working there who raced at a decent level. Was obviously part gorilla from the hair sprouting out the neck of his shirts.
I was showing a prospective member around the club and as we went through the men's changing room to the pool area this lad emerged from the showers. It was unclear if he was naturally bald and wearing a strange furry knee length romper suit, or if he had shaved to the shorts line. Just looked very odd.
As a roadie I’m proud to be shaved.
(Ex wife hated it by the way!)
Not a fan of the "last chicken in the shop" look?

I'm guessing woman who like men with shaved chests or shaved faces are paedos as well.

People with alopecia?
Awww just watching it right now, a couple happy together - something positive for the thread 😉
And unusual for the show. (-:
Google never ceases to amaze me.. I was watching Scotty Laughland MTB Tour of Scotland on YouTube (another recent STW thread) and suddenly YouTube starts serving up ads about manscaping!
