A wildlife pond is on the list of things to do in our new(ish) abode.
I saw a speedboat pop up on Facebook marketplace the other day - lovely orange 'Bullseye' type speedboat - brain starts whirring. "If it keeps water out, it'll keep water in!".
Dig it into the ground at a slightly jaunty angle - fill with water, sort animal friendly access. Boom - no one else we know has a speedboat wildlife pond! It'll look awesome!
...the wife is not a fan of the idea though! 😕

Or a coracle? Even with a speedboat you'd need to dig a hole in the ground to stop it falling over (and maybe to stop the hull bursting open, it's designed to keep water out rather than in), and if you're digging a hole in the ground you might as well chuck a liner in there and make it a pond without added speedboatery.
