Weeks before my 50th birthday my shins are coming out in sympathy with my head.
Should I attempt a comb over or just give them a number one all over?
What age can I expect hairy ears?

You are doing well. I'm 46 and get buzzed in the earholes at the barber. I also hear a s**** from my other half when they offer to trim my eyebrows.

Have you bought some skinny jeans recently?
My thighs can be bald or hairy depending upon which trousers I've been wearing most. Same for my calves.

Shave the rest off.

It's the monobrow I'm worried about.

The bottom half of my shins went bald over the winter, I put it down to the trousers I was wearing, I'm back in shorts for the summer (BST = British Shorts Time) so we'll see if it grows back.

How fast do you ride to whip the hair off your legs?!? 😯

My legs went bald in my 20's. I still get grief for shaving them, but never have.

Farmers have bald shins and calves, due to welly rub.

Go to the Dr's, could be a sign of something that needs attention

Got bald lower shins from snowboard boot rub.

Head hair long gone, eyebrows now thinning. Hair didn't bother me very much, it wasn't particularly good and got me a lot of stick at school. Bald head suits me better.

Disappointed with the eyebrows, though, they used to be pretty good. 🙁

Strange, I was only just thinking the other day, I seem to recall old men used to show their bald shins more than they do now. Trouser length evolution perhaps? Cause of problem must be a combination of natural hair loss and prolonged sock use.

I have bald patches just below my knees at the back from the back of shorts.

After a summer teaching sailing (whilst a uni student) I was hairless for the bottom 6" of my legs due to wearing these.

To make it worse, the rest of me looks like a particularly heairy chimpanzee!

People always comment on 'do you shave your legs'?

No they are like that- same as my arms. My balls though- are epically 1970's pornstar hairy though I tell them...

.. and now you of course.

It might be worth getting that checked to be honest. I'm a type 1 diabetic, and I'm sure I've read something somewhere that balding shins can be an indicator of type 2 diabetes.

At your age (50?? I didn't know people could live that long!!!), it can't hurt swinging past the local witch doctor for a MOT anyway.

50? Wow, I hope I can manage to live as long as that. That'd be like the year 2020 when I'm that old. Flying cars and Jetpacks....woohoo! 😉

Seriously though, hair loss in certain areas (fingers / toes more commonly), can be a diabetic indicator. No harm in getting it checked.

C.

Who else read that and looked down at their knuckles*?

*I had no idea there were two /k/'s in knuckles!

And firemen..............at least old ones. I was in the fire service back in the 80's and 90's when we often turned-out in shorts under our leggings during the summer. 30 years later and my calves are still bald up to the "welly line".

Yup, bald shins, bald head, random eyebrows, wooly ears and frightening spliders legs randomly dropping out of my nose now and then, I've turned into my dad.
