330i? Nice.

Really liked my 320D Sport (and M3) back in those days. Very driver-oriented, little went wrong and BMW dealer was excellent.

I'd get one too if it weren't for the insurance group and road tax

Mrs_oab got in my temporary company car 330i auto and proclaimed it slow. I pointed out her foot was controlling that aspect...she actually squealed when it kicked down and took off down the way ramp...

Have told the Mrs not to press the traction control button off under any circumstances...her reply was something along the lines of this car is far to fast and is it safe to put the children in ? she's opted to only drive her Nissan children carrier !

Lol! Tell her Mrs Kryton ferried he kids about in it on many occasion. Not only is it pretty kind to drive and the traction control very good, the gearbox "learns" the drivers style after the ignition key turns, so if she drives normally, it's not going to bite her at all it will adapt the gear change appropriately and not snap into 231hp at max revs in an instant.

The only way she'd lose it is by stamping on the gas mid corner at speed in the wet on a ice patch. The more she drives it the more confident she'll get.
