Nice, currently waiting for my T4 to come back from the sprayshop, have had a Bebb rock and roll quick release bed fitted too, still deciding of interior as all needs to be removed.
Is that a Kiravans turntable on the front bench seat?
Who did the conversion ? Especially like the sloped end of the kitchen unit behind the drivers seat to allow it to recline 😀

Can I just ask how you will transport the bikes with that, in the back or on the back?

Schweet van. It transforms weekends away if you are coming from a tent, enjoy.
Had our T3 7 years and done 40K in it, bit slower than yours but love the whole experience.

EDIT: am sure someone at Busfest mentioned a double swivel seat for a T5, it was one of the Brick-Yard mob (Dogsbreath IIRC) nip over and ask there's loads of help on there. Brick Yard

whats the difference between the models? T4/T5 etc what a T28?

Are they all actually manufactured as camper vans or are they all conversions with differing levels of finishing kit?

sc-xc - Member

that's lovely!

We'd love to get one but we're not sure about how easy to live with they are if you're tall.
How do taller folks fare in them? Do you just get used to the low roof?

We are just average, but with pop top you have plenty of standing room (bed boards stack up at the rear of the van)

The issue you will have I'd the length of the rock n roll bed, but I guess you can get those in different sizes.

Looks nice but I'm pretty sure it needs a bigger engine.
Go on.

Very nice looking van at a great price too. If you haven't already join the t5 forum there is lots of information and handy if you do get any issues or questions (chances are it's been covered on there).

I've got an older t5 (2004) and wouldn't be without it really easy to live with.

On a t5 the load rating is denoted by the t26, t28, t30 or t32. Each one relates to the gross vehicle weight.
T26 = 2600kg
T28 = 2800kg
T30 = 3000kg
T32 = 3200kg.

Most common are t28 and t30s. All bar the t32 share the same chassis setup just with different spring rates to allow for more payload. T32s have a completely different front suspension setup.

Cheers - its a T28, but it shifts!

I am on the forum (citizen_fishy) - it's a great source of info but it's confusing to navigate!
