Anyone identify this? I have two resting on the ceiling this evening. First time I have seen such a pretty white moth. Will it kill me?

That is a Box Tree Moth (Cydalima perspectalis).

EDT: Used that s****y google lens thing on my phone and found it, definitely not a lepidopterist! 😂

What's that bottom left? Is it meant to be a cieling or a frigging Jackson Pollock?

Nice moth though.

Google Lens is pretty handy; a while back at work I saw something white fluttering around in the wind, looking around to see what it was, I felt something on my arm, and it was this little beauty!

After managing to get my phone out of my left front pocket with my right hand and get this photo, it flew off, only to come back and land on my arm again!

I’d never seen a moth like it before, but Lens showed it’s a Swallowtail Moth, and strictly nocturnal. Well, those photos were taken at 7am, so it clearly doesn’t know what nocturnal means.
A beautiful creature, very subtle colours, and that little encounter made my day.
