You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Got one a couple of days ago and have now powered down the house. Condensation is forming on the windows and control surfaces (remote for the tele ) and its very cold and uncomfortable in here and i'm never having a shower again (it went mental) but now its reading 159 watts! result. Could i be divorced this time next week?
Is the 159 just for the lappie for stw? Class
Cooool. Links to kit you're using?
I did the same and realised after three days of nagging the (teenage) kids to turn stuff off that I was turning into right grumpy old git so sold it.
I think most folk who are interested In reducing bills/lowering carbon footprint know what to do - you won't have any fun/friends/life running a house at 157watts for long!
Anything in the last couple of hundred watts is unreliable. I threw the main breaker for my flat and the monitor still read 150W.
12AMPS?! YOU CANT RUN A VACUUM CLEANER ON 12AMPS, JOHN
Battery vacuum cleaner? Charged at work obviously.
Most I had ours down to was 7 watts, then the fridge came on!
Our is running at 0.975 kW. I shall make the kids have a cold bath in the dark.
.365 at the moment, also started watching the mpg readout on the on cars trip computer now but thats nowt to write home about 32mpg. 😯
I had a serious geek period last year and linked my monitor up to t'internet and was able to spot when my wife got in and put the kettle on. Also spotted some interesting peaks caused by the fridge.
interesting peaks
sounds interesting
interesting peaks
in a very geeky way, ie, totally not interesting to anyone with a life.
🙂
I've got mine set to read out in pence/hour, I've never seen it below 6p, 0.06*24*365=£525.60 😯

Same here. Depressing really. The only think working the fridge and the computer. All lights off (just going to bed).
