So using mfp as I would like to drop 3kg. Currently hovering about 70.5 (just above "healthy" BMI).

The "in five weeks" thing annoys me. How can I check it?
Take an average of the predictions and in 5 weeks time see how close it is? Or...?

At the end of the day I don't really care but this week I've had a range of 63.5kg to 68.2kg but my real weight hasn't done much.(not that I'm expecting much in a week)

I don’t think it’s that intelligent.

I think it does something like this:

Weight in 5 weeks = current weight in lb - (calorie deficit for that day * (5 * 7))/3500

I.e. calculates your predicted weight on the basis that 3500 cals = 1lb

…or something like that

Personally I like it, since it motivates me to maintain a bigger deficit, since I can see the effects an extra 300 cals per day has

Ahh, the 'if every day was like today, in 5 weeks you'd weigh xxkg'

Yeah, I ignore that, it's basically a finger in the wind based on your calorie deficit for that particular day.

Yep, working on the principle that it's a rough calorie deficit. I'm averaging the next 5weeks to see if actual weight is near predicted 5week weight
