https://www.brewhive.com/tc22a/Can't vouch for the taste, but the price can't be argued with. 330ml bottles. Doesn't appear to be any ongoing 'club' commitment either.

As first PSAs go, that's a good one.

24 bottles of beer for 80p a bottle and a glass, delivered. I've ordered already. 🙂

That's not bad value. Will be interested to see if they expand their range.

330ml bottles and a nice effete tulip glass that takes one whole bottle. A lot of nice beers only come in 330ml bottles these days so I've got used to some of the beers in the fridge being "smaller" and as I mentioned above, at 80p a bottle, free glass, delivered, it's more than good vfm.

Ah it's brewed in Clonmel at the cider factory? Excellent, I did my degree work experience there and had a fantastic nine months with a constant supply of cider (erm, "laboratory samples"). It'll be interesting to see what they taste like. I'm feeling a bit let down that it's not being brewed by hipsters with waxed moustaches though. 😐

It would £4 a bottle then.

Those ABVs look on the low side, especially for the lager and IPA styles. Not always the case, but often indicative of a brew that's pretty thin on taste.

Interesting, beer by marketers rather than brewers. I suspect it won't be the finest beer in the world but 24 bottles for £20 makes it worth a punt if even just to stock up for Christmas. If it's really bad I'll just give it away.

Asda are doing 500ml bottles at 4 for £5 which is fractionally cheaper. Plus you can choose your own mix of beers with some pretty decent ones on offer.

Johnners +1

Old Peculier is £1.25 for 500ml in Asda. That's a beer at the top of its style. Others from local, quality breweries too.

1.25 is the standard price for Wainwright, Hobgoblin, Schoffenhofer etc at Aldi

Home Bargains sometimes go lower than that

Great dinner beer @ £1.39 a pint.

Our objective was to create some beers that are aimed at people who are presently drinking wine or drinking commercial lagers. We are absolutely not aiming at people who are presently drinking craft beers

Like others I wasn't feeling particularly impressed by the price given the price of 500ml bottles in supermarket deals (not just Asda or Aldi)

The lager not too bad, pretty happy with the beers at £20 deffo not worth full price.
In fact the box must be worth a few quid on its own 😉

😆

Went around to my neighbours to pick it up...it took up nearly the whole width of the hall.

Lager is pretty nice. IPA not great on first taste to be honest - it's better than Greene King and other mass produced, but that's not saying much...for 80p, I won't complain too much but no way I'd pay full price for it - on the other hand, no way would I brave my nearest Asda either. Will try the stout later.

In case anyone hasn't mentioned it, the box is HUGE! 😀

Porter is quite nice, IPA gets better after a few mouthfuls, not tried the larger yet. 330ml bottles are a little bit disappointing as most of my home drunk beer comes in 500ml.

Think I'll get a HUGE glass and think of the delivery as 12x 660ml bottles at £1.60 each. Anyone know where I could get a box large enough to transport such a vessel?

edit - I suppose the test is would I buy again at full price. £2.20 each for the Porter! 😆 Bargain Booze can rest easy.

Well, mine's arrived but I made a small error in getting it delivered to work. So I now have to cart the box home, on the train, with a 15 minute walk either end. This is not idea.

Oops. There are two huge boxes inside the HUGE box. Would be easier to make it a 2 day job.
